What's John Deere 4760 2WD with 8000 Hours Worth?

Twitter question today from A.J (@ajw545): “Pete, what’s a 2WD John Deere 4760 with no duals worth? Not sure on the hours, guessing 8,000.”

My reply: Well A.J., to start let’s look at overall John Deere 4760 Tractor values over the past 5 years. Here’s what our Machinery Pete auction price data shows:

John Deere 4760 Tractor Values

Last year’s Avg. Auction Price of $30,356 was skewed higher by the unusual record setting price we saw on the 1992 John Deere 4760 MFWD pictured below that had, amazingly, only 486 actual hours on it, and sold for $85,500 on an 11/18/17 auction in central Indiana:

Look at the average auction price 2 years ago, in 2016…$20,977. Look at the “Low” auction price paid each of the past 2 years on 4760’s: $14,000. To better zero in on the current value of what A.J. is specifically looking for, a John Deere 4760 2WD with around 8,000 hours, I dug into our Machinery Pete auction price data and pulled out these recent examples on 2WD 4760’s sold with between 6,000 - 11,000 hours:

Auction Prices on John Deere 4760’s with Between 6,000 - 11,000 Hours

If we do the math here on these 6 recent examples of similar 4760’s sold, comes out to an average auction price of $24,833, with High of $39,500 and Low of $16,000. Here’s a pic of the John Deere 4760 2WD with 8,355 hours sold for $27,000 on the 2/11/17 auction in Mt. Olive, NC:

Hope that helps A.J.! Oh, one more thing that can be helpful here, a look at what dealers are asking for John Deere 4760 2WD Tractors with between 6,000 - 12,000 hours…here you go, a link to (5) such 4760’s for sale today, click here to view: https://tinyurl.com/y9d6wm7a
