I thought it was a record tractor price that would probably never be broken…
I’m thinking of the 2000 JD 8410 with only 584 hours sold for $136,000 on a 9/11/10 farm auction in Aledo, IL. If I remember correctly the story on it was the owner made anyone getting into the cab remove their boots, shoes, sandals. Here’s pic of it.
The $136,000 record price did stand for a long 11 Years, 2 Months and 18 Days…until a 11/29/21 farm auction in Kiron, IA where the 2000 JD 8410 with 6050 hours (complete engine overhaul at 5580 hours) pictured below sold for $140,000.
Well, that $140K record price lasted just over a year, until today when a sharp 2000 model 8410 with 5141 hours went a bit higher on a farm auction in Carey, OH by my good friends at United Country - Walton Realty and Auction Co.
