Machinery on Small Farm Auction in Northern Ohio Nets Nearly 75% Above Projection

I’ve been yakking about it for years…

  • Smaller used farm equipment in good condition < $50K tends to sell STRONG

Hard proof continues to roll in from all over North America, yep, even in these days of COVID-19, amid all the myriad challenges the ag community faces, even as auction firms have scrambled to switch from live on site auctions with online bidding to online and phone bid only virtual auctions.

Good condition used still LOT cheaper than New.

The recent Horst farm equipment auction April 8, 2020 in Shelby, OH (north-central Ohio) by our good friends at The Wendt Group (www.thewendtgroup.com) is a perfect example.

We had strong prices again Pete,” said auctioneer Kevin Wendt. “The seller was hoping for for $200K and the sale generated nearly $350K.”

Wow…small farm auction - used machinery sold nearly 75% above expert advance projection.

Wendt said the sale took place in an Amish influenced community so they allowed local folks to bid through the auction firm’s agents, calling them back each day. Here’s a sale price report from this 4/8/20 Shelby, OH small farm auction followed by pictures and sale highlights:
