Very sharp line of equipment sold this morning, April 9, 2024, on the Lucan Farms online farm retirement auction in Alvinstson, Ontario by good folks at Sunrise Equipment Auctions, Inc. Here are a few highlights:

Let’s unpack this Top 5 highest auction price list on JD 8220’s a bit. The record setter sold on 12/5/22 farm retirement auction we filmed for Machinery Pete TV Show in Hamlin, IA. December '22…right about the absolute TOP of the mountain in terms of used farm equipment values I’d say looking back. The owner/seller had an immaculate line of JD 20 Series Tractors on that auction - 8120, 8220, 8320, 8420 and 8520. Buyer interest was SMOKING Hot. Here’s the Machinery Pete TV show episode with the 8220 with 2675 hours selling for $182,000 - $42K above the then record high auction price:
The 4th highest auction price ever on JD 8220 was from another auction we filmed for Machinery Pete TV show, 11 years ago, all the way back on 6/24/13 on farm auction in stunningly beautiful Saranac Lake, NY. That 8220 had 1300 hours on it and sold for $137,000. Seeing auctioneer legend Jim Pirrung in this pic makes me smile
