Whoa.
Knew there were going to be strong sale prices on the Edmund Bickett farm estate auction today (July 26, 2022) in Old Shawneetown, IL by Sullivan Auctioneers (www.sullivanauctioneers.com). Yep. Strong prices indeed. But wow…here’s the scoop:
1995 JD 8100 2WD with 113 actual hours, sold: $136,000
Pete’s Note: “$136,000 is record price - by whopping $31,000”
HIGHEST AUCTION PRICES ON JD 8100 TRACTORS
2000 JD 6410 with 205 hours, loader, sold: $107,000
Pete’s Note: “$107,000 is record price - by whopping $39,500”
HIGHEST AUCTION PRICES ON JD 6410 TRACTORS w/ LOADERS
So new record high auction sale prices by $31,000 and $39,500. May seem crazy from the outside looking in, but actually not, considering this current used tractor market - HOTTEST I’ve seen, by far, in my 32 1/2+ years tracking the market daily. Tightest I’ve ever seen used Tractor inventory on farm equipment dealer lots throughout North America.
And oh yeah…the whole on-goin supply chain mess that has pinched availability of New farm equipment and tractors. Can you even get your hands a new 180 HP Tractor? And if you could…how much would it cost now given recent price increases? Cost a ton.
And let’s not forget the whole pre-DEF, pre Tier IV angle…so here along come a pair of absolute like new 27 and 22 year old Tractors with hardly any hours on them on the Bickett farm estate auction today in Old Shawneetown, IL.
JD 8100: $136,000 - Record price by $31,000
JD 6410: $107,000 - Record price by $39,500
That = Today’s Used Tractor Market.
Before I go, should mention the pair of Case 590 Super L backhoes sold on today’s auction…The 2 highest auction prices ever on 590 Super L’s.
1996 Case 590 Super L with only 417 actual hours, sold: $76,000
Also a 2004 model Case 590 Super L with 1976 hours sold for $65,500.
