Last Saturday (November 18, 2017) was quite the day to sell nice low hour John Deere tractors with a bit of age on them. A 1992 model 4760 with 484 sold for a new record auction price of $85,500 on a central Indiana auction. A different central Indiana auction saw a 1992 John Deere 4455 2WD with 1,955 hours go for $48,000.
Then there was the 7810 sold Saturday in Maryland.
Pictured below, it was a 7810 2WD with 1,819 hours sold for $83,600 ($76,000 sale price 10% buyer's premium) on a farm auction in north-central Maryland.
$83,600 is the 2nd highest auction price I've ever seen on a 2WD 7810. The record price is $87,500 for the 1999 model 7810 2WD with 2,200 hours pictured below that sold on a November 3, 2012 farm auction in Bode, IA.
Of course late 2012 was right about the top of the market in terms of used values.
