Today (May 14, 2018) our weekly Monday morning Machinery Pete segment on AgriTalk radio show (www.agritalk.com) wasn’t live 10:30 - 11:00 AM CST like most weeks, had to pre-record the segment early this morning with my friend and show host Chip Flory as I was on the road.
As the segment aired this morning…a question came in, from Joe Gill, Farm Director at KASM Radio in Albany, MN. Here was Joe’s question:
"Pete, how rare or not rare are Farmall 200 tractors?"
My reply: Somewhere in between rare and not rare Joe. Farmall made the 200 model only 3 years, from 1954-1956, so that would account for the somewhat rareness. But I do see more than a few sold each year on the auction market, so not what I’d classify as truly rare.
The last (16) Farmall 200’s I’ve seen sold at auction over the past 3 years, the Avg. Auction Price = $1,889 with a High of $4,000 and low of $450. The $4,000 high price came on an August 8, 2017 farm auction by Sullivan Auctioneers (www.sullivanauctioneers.com) in Hopkinton, IA. She was a beauty. Here’s a pic of it:
