The 1998 CaseIH MX110 tractor with 7000 hours and loader pictured below sold on a Demry Auction Services consignment auction last Saturday (Oct. 10, 2020) in far south-central Iowa.
SOLD: $38,500.
If that seems high given 7000 hours…you are correct. Auctioneer Tom Demry told me, “The bidding was strong on this one.”
In fact $38,500 is the Highest auction sale price I’ve ever seen in the U.S. on a CaseIH MX110 with loader and 5000+ hours. The only MX110 with loader and 5000+ hours I’ve ever seen higher was 13 1/2 years ago up in Saskatchewan, on a 4/21/07 sale in Spiritwood, SK where a 2000 model MX110 with just 5018 hours and loader went for $40,000. It was only 7 years old at the time. The MX110 sold Saturday on the south-central Iowa consignment auction for $38,500 was 22 years old.
Even compared with MX110’s sold with loader and lower hours, $38,500 is still the 3rd Highest auction sale price in nearly 6 years.
