CaseIH 2096 Tractor and John Deere 6620 II Combine Strong on MN Auction Yesterday

The most expensive piece of farm equipment sold for just $23,000.

But the farm retirement auction yesterday (November 10, 2018) for Delbert & Darlene Malecha in the little southeast Minnesota farming community of Dundas, MN was RED HOT. Great condition slightly older and smaller used farm equipment continues to be a major draw for interested buyers.

The 1986 CaseIH 2096 tractor pictured below, with 3,485 actual hours, sold for $23,000. That is the highest auction sale price on a 2096 in 44 months and the 4th highest auction price over the past 18 years:

The sale yesterday in Dundas, MN was by my good friends at Maring Auction Company (http://www.maringauction.com). Note in the data table how Maring Auction Company sold a CaseIH 2096 2WD with 2,290 hours for $23,100 back on a December 17, 2005 farm auction just down the road in Farmington, MN. so almost exactly 13 years later, a CaseIH 2096 2WD with 1,200 more hours sold for only $100 less.

That's called HOLDING YOUR VALUE.

Another HOT item on yesterday's Dundas, MN farm retirement auction was the 1985 John Deere 6620 Titan II combine with 2,889 hours that went for $20,000. $20K is tied for the highest auction sale price the past 45 mo. on a 6620 Titan II combine. For perspective, the Avg. Auction Price on the last (13) John Deere 6620 Titan II combines sold = $10,085. Here's a picture of this beautiful 23 year old combine sold for $20K yesterday:

The John Deere 216 platform head off the combine was another HOT seller on yesterday's southeast Minnesota farm retirement auction, selling for $4,200, making it the 3rd highest auction sale price on a 216 head the past 5 years. For perspective, the Avg. Auction Price on John Deere 216 heads this year = $1,081 and $1,057 last year. Here's a picture of the $4,200 John Deere 216 sold yesterday:
