We are looking to purchase a no till drill something like a John Deere 1590. However they are very pricey and I notice that the Great Plains are a lot cheaper. What model of Great Plains would compare with the 1590 and would they do the same job? We want to be able to seed into tilled soil as well as have the option of seeding directly into pasture or cover crop. We are in the interior of British Columbia Canada and have very little of that kind of equipment out here. And also would like one that is 20 feet wide but still has to narrow down for transport. Like I said I feel quite unlearned as far as these machines go. Very familiar with air drills etc. but thats not really what we are looking for at this point. Any thoughts or input on this would be much appreciated! Thanks.
