Walking around the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, KY the past 3 days got an eyeful of new shiny paint. Always great fun.
But as I turned the pickup back home towards Minnesota tonight, my mind drifted back to used equipment, specifically a very popular line of tractors that were introduced to the market 40 years ago now, back in 1978.
The John Deere 4040, 4240, 4440, 4640 and 4840.
Hard to imagine its been 40 years now they've been around. Still much love for this model Series. To document how much love, I pulled off the road on the drive home tonight and pulled the 10 highest auction sale prices I've seen on each model over the years. So here you go folks...enjoy:
