As I keep saying…It’s All About Condition.
When it comes to used farm equipment values.
Auction in northwest Mississippi yesterday (March 19, 2020) is the perfect example. A pair of JD 8130 tractors, with 11,000+ hours each, sold for the 2nd and 3rd lowest auction sale prices ever on 8130’s…$28,000 and $29,500. Here’s a picture of the 8130 with 11,254 hours that sold for $28,000 yesterday, 2nd lowest auction price ever on a JD 8130.

While $28,000 yesterday was in fact the 2nd Lowest auction price ever on a JD 8130, just last month we saw the 2nd Highest auction price on a JD 8130 in 6 years when the 2008 model 8130 pictured below, with 1466 hours, sold for $128,500 on a February 11, 2020 farm auction in Marion, IN by Sullivan Auctioneers (www.sullivanauctioneers.com). It’s All About Condition…and Hours.
So the pair of JD 8130’s with 11K+ hours sold light ($28,000; $29,500) yesterday on the northwest Mississippi auction, but the nice late model cotton bale picker sold strong. The 2017 JD CP690 pictured below, with 1086 engine hours, sold for $520,000.
