Been a never ending string of WOWZA auction sale prices, pretty much daily, going back to Fall '21.
Another one to add to the list today…on a super sharp 28 year old Combine sold on the Jim Kunka farm estate auction in Souris, Manitoba, sale by the good folks at Fraser Auction Ltd. (http://fraserauction.com).
1994 JD 9600, 1581 engine hours and JD 914 pickup head, sold: $94,500 CAD - $73,710 US
Pete’s Note: “$73,710 (US) is the highest auction sale price on a JD 9600 Combine in 12+ years, even when accounting for fact it sold with the 914 pickup head”
HIGHEST AUCTION PRICES ON JD 9600 COMBINES PAST 12 YEARS
BTW…the only JD 9600 Combine sold higher at auction the past 12 years, back on 2/11/10 farm auction in Sedgwick, KS, a sharp 1997 model with 2809 engine hours, 1 owner, sold for $79,000…I was at that sale. Yep, filmed it for our Machinery Pete Youtube channel. Here’s video of it selling:
That Sedgwick, KS Feb. of 2010 farm auction was by my friends at Stock Auction Company. I recall after the sale ended I did a video interview with owner Ron Stock about their new online auction venture…called www.Bigiron.com. That venture turned out pretty well I’d say!
You may also recall the last JD 9600 in our highest auction sale price list from the past 12 years…the 1990 model 9600 with only 311 actual engine hours sold for $68,000 on a 6/18/19 online farm auction in Beardsley, MN. Yep, only 311 original engine hours.
That same 6/18/19 Beardsley, MN auction also had a 1983 JD 8820 Combine with only 15 actual engine hours - Never Been in the Field! - that sold for $75,500. Here’s a picture of that green harvesting Time Machine:
