Deep in the heart of Texas today (July 18, 2020), two very strong sale prices on a farm estate auction.
The PL Scamardo estate auction today in Mumford, TX, just northeast of Austin was by Diamond B Auctioneers (www.diamondbauctioneers.net). Machinery Pete Facebook follower Jeffrey D. from Bryan, TX was there and sent back word on these 2 items sold on the sale today:
JD 9600 Combine with 600 actual engine hours, later model (1996 or 1997), sold: $48,000
Pete’s Note: “$48K is the 2nd Highest auction price on a 9600 combine in 5 1/2 years. Believed that owner bought it new, used for 3-4 years then parked it, hence the super low hours”

Here’s a picture of the only JD 9600 combine sold higher the past 5 1/2 years…a remarkable 1990 model 9600 with only 311 actual engine hours, sold for $68,000 on a 6/18/19 online farm auction in Beardsley, MN by The Steffes Group. Picture of this JD 9600 combine below. You may recall that 6/18/19 Beardsley, MN auction was the sale where an even LOWER hour original combine sold, a 1983 JD 8820 combine only 15.5 engine hours…WOW…sold for $75,500.
There was also a very HOT selling track tractor on the Mumford, TX farm estate auction today.
JD 8410T with 3282 hours, 1 owner, barn kept, sold: $70,000
