These stats are mighty interesting.
The Avg. Auction Price so far this year on John Deere 8230 tractors = $102,522 (High $136,000; Low $75,600). The Avg. Auction Price 5 years ago (2014) on John Deere 8230 tractors was $106,278 (High $148,000; Low $62,000).
5 years down the road and JD 8230’s are worth nearly the same $$.
Deere made the 8230 model from 2006 - 2009, so now right in that sweet spot age wise I’ve been talking about for YEARS…good condition, lower hour tractors models 10+ years old = H-O-T. I got thinking about John Deere 8230’s as saw a nice one sold last Saturday (August 3, 2019) on a farm auction in northwest Iowa by our friends at the Iowa Auction Group (www.iowaauctiongroup.com). It was a 2009 model with 1,923 hours, Power Shift, and sold for $105,000. Here’s a picture of it:
