Incredible Prices on Small Farm Estate Auction

Note from Facebook follower Dan W. - "Pete, Al Wessel sold a New Holland 488 haybine in pristine condition Saturday in Sebeka, MN for $9,500. Color me impressed!"

Me too.

My friend Al Wessel with Mid American Auction Co. in central Minnesota is a great auctioneer, and a great guy too. He's had  a couple super nice farm auctions here early in 2019. The sale last Saturday (April 6, 2019) in Sebeka, MN was an estate auction for Randy Windels. Randy was very involved in the local community, great reputation, known to take exceptional care of his farm equipment.

Boy, did his equipment ever sell STRONG last Saturday.

So $9,500 on the 2011 New Holland 488 haybine, that is 5th highest auction price ever on a 488 and the 3rd highest auction price on a 488 in over 7 years. Here's a picture of it, followed by our Machinery Pete auction sale price data on highest sale prices on New Holland 488 haybines:

You may have noticed a sharp looking New Holland 654 round baler in the picture, behind the 488 haybine. Yes indeed it was very sharp. The 1996 model round baler was a "1 owner" baler with twine tie and auto wrap. It sold for $11,000. Folks that is the highest auction price on a New Holland 654 round baler in 13 years.

Good used skid steers have been HOT items for some time now...more proof on this April 6, 2019 farm estate auction in central Minnesota as the 2012 John Deere 318D skid steer, 1 owner, with only 620 hours, sold for $27,000. That is a new record high auction price on a 318D. Here's a picture of it:

Once again here folks, more solid proof that buyer demand remains very strong for good condition used equipment, particularly if in the under $30K price range.
