IHC 1066 Sold for $27K Today on Ohio Auction

2nd highest auction price I've seen on an IHC 1066.

Happened today (February 3, 2018) on a Georgetown, OH farm auction by my friends at Hess Auction Co. (http://www.hessauctionco.com). The 1976 IHC 1066 black stripe with 2,972 hours, 1 owner, pictured below sold for $27,000:

Went to an online buyer from Canada who had seen it on a Machinery Pete Facebook/Twitter promo post I did about the auction last week. One happy buyer up north I'm sure. Here's a look at the Top 10 auction sale prices I've compiled on IHC 1066 tractors over the years:

It wasn't just the IHC 1066 that sold high on today's farm auction in Georgetown, OH. The 1999 Case IH 8920 MFWD tractor with 1,866 hours pictured below sold for $70,000...that is 3rd highest auction price on a Case IH 8920 the past 49 mo.

Almost a new record high auction sale price on the 2004 Case IH MXU125 tractor with 1,934 hours and LX156 loader pictured below. It sold for $48,000. I've only seen one sold higher, $48,500 on a 6/7/10 farm auction in north-central Illinois for a 2005 model withi 1,644 hours and loader:

Older vintage red tractors sold VERY well too. Pictured below are the 1949 McCormick W4, sold for $4,500; 1949 McCormick W-6, sold for $5,500; and a 1947 McCormick W-9, sold for $6,900:
