Highest Auction Price This Month vs Highest Prices April 2010, April 2000

Fun to look back in time.

Very telling.

Especially when it comes to $$$.

The highest auction sale price on a piece of ag equipment 20 years ago this month, April 2000, was $105,500 for an absolutely Like New 1998 JD 9610 combine with only 114 engine hours sold on a 4/17/00 farm auction in central Minnesota.

10 years later, April 2010, the highest auction sale price that month was $185,900 on a 2008 CaseIH 7010 combine with 390 engine hours sold on a northeast Kansas online auction 4/28/10.

Now?

Highest auction price April 2020…$383,850 for the 2015 Bourgault 3320-66 PHD air seeder with 7950 air cart on 4/8/20 online farm auction in north-central North Dakota by Pifer’s Auction & Realty (www.pifers.com).

Oh, and that Highest auction price April 2000, the 1998 JD 9610 with only 114 engine hours, Like New, sold for $105,500 in central Minnesota…compare to the 2018 JD S790 combine on tracks with 354 engine hours and warranty sold for $396,000 on a 12/12/19 online auction in the same central Minnesota region…Highest auction price ever on a combine.

Things certainly have changed ($$$) in 20 years.
