Almost $400K.
For a used Combine.
At auction.
Did you ever think you’d see the day…?
Today (December 12, 2019) was the day. A 2018 JD S790 track combine with 224.5 sep. hours, loaded, with engine warranty to September 2020, Powertrain warranty to September 2023 and Emission warranty to September 2023 sold on an online auction for Arnold Companies, Inc. in St. Cloud, MN. The sale was by the good folks at the Steffes Group.
Sold: $396,000.
This is the new record high auction sale price ever on a Combine sold without a head. The previous high mark was $360K on a 2017 JD S680 with only 4 sep. hours sold on an 8/15/18 farm auction in Wayland, MI.

If you’re curious…here’s a look back in time at where we were 10 years ago in terms of the all time highest at that time auction prices on Combines - $250K was the high water mark:

Wonder what a late model Combine in great shape with low hours will sell for at auction 10 years from now in 2029? Another almost $150K jump up to $550K? Higher? Lower?
Time will tell.
