I haven’t run across too many White 6145 tractors sold at auction.
Over the past 20 years the highest auction sale price I had seen on a White 6145 came almost exactly 17 years ago, on a September 14, 2002 auction in northwest Ohio, where a 1993 model 6145 with 1881 hours sold for $35,000.
That was the highest price I’d seen…until today.
On the Ron Haaland farm retirement auction in Veblen, SD (northeast South Dakota) by Ostby Auctioneering, a sharp 1996 White 6145 with 2550 hours, 1 owner, sold for $47,000. Here are a couple pictures of it.

Another White tractor sold very strong on today’s farm auction in northeast South Dakota…a 1988 White 120 with 3340 hours for $29,000. That is tied for the 2nd highest auction price I’ve seen on a White 120 the past 20 years and is the highest auction price in very nearly 10 years. Here’s a picture of it.

Proof again here today on this South Dakota farm auction folks that the trend I’ve been talking about actually getting stronger as 2019 moves along, that of 10-20+ year old tractors in very good condition with low hours being RED HOT…this trend ain’t just limited to John Deere, CaseIH, IHC, or Ford-New Holland tractors. The trend applies to all colors of the tractor rainbow.
Including WHITE.
