I am a small farmer and do not farm crazy amounts of acreage. I do need a combine and I am looking for an older version of a JD. I rely on other larger farmers to pick when they are done with there’s. If we get a hurricane well I have lost what I did not get in. I know the older I go the harder it is to get parts. Thanks
Hope the hurricane misses you! On the older JD combines…I’d suggest looking closely at JD 9500’s. This model made from 1989 - 1997. Values on 9500’s have dropped a good notch this year. Here’s the scoop:
AVG. AUCTION PRICE ON JD 9500 COMBINES
2019: $14,198
2018: $18,250
2017: $18,891
2016: $18,636
So 9500 values are down 22.2% so far this year…making it good time to be a buyer.
Here’s scoop on JD 6620 combine values:
AVG. AUCTION PRICE ON JD 6620 COMBINES
2019: $5,302
2018: $5,441
2017: $6,030
2016: $5,915
Much lower. Steadier. But obviously quite a bit older model vs 9500.
