2011 John Deere 9770 STS Combine Sold Today on Missouri Auction - 2nd Highest Price 6 Years

Wow.

December 2020 is off with a BANG on the farm machinery auction front.

Bang…as in the 2011 JD 9770 STS 4WD combine with 1323 engine / 839 sep. hours, 1 owner, sold for $204,000 today (December 1, 2020) on the online farm auction in northeast Missouri for Fred and Joanne Layman by our friends at Sullivan Auctioneers (www.sullivanauctioneers.com).

$204,000.…that is with NO heads.

$204,000 is the Highest auction sale price on a 9770 STS combine in 25 months and also the 2nd Highest auction price on a 9770 STS combine in just over 6 years!

HIGHEST AUCTION PRICES ON JD 9770 STS COMBINES PAST 6 YEARS

  • Current Avg. Auction Price on JD 9770 STS Combine = $74,203
  • Current Avg. Dealer Advertised Price on JD 9770 STS = $90,555
  • Machinery Pete Ratio = 81.9% (MPR = Avg. Auction / Avg. Dealer Ad Price)

In my 20 years tracking the Machinery Pete Ratio (MPR), anything over 76% = Very Strong Used Values. Above 80% getting into the HOT category.

HOT…that would pretty much describe any good condition low hour just pre-DEF, pre Tier IV Combine, Tractor, Sprayer or Skid Steer here late in 2020.

More proof from this same northeast Missouri online farm auction today came by way of the 10 year old red track tractor, 2 of them actually.

2010 CaseIH Steiger 535 QuadTrac with 2821 hours, 1 owner, sold: $220,000

Pete’s Note:$220K is the Highest auction price on a CaseIH Steiger 535 QuadTrac in 5+ years, since a 11/25/15 farm auction in Anoka, MN where a 2011 model with only 1450 hours sold for $280K

2010 CaseIH Steiger 535 QuadTrac with 4107 hours, 1 owner, sold: $199,000

Rocking strong sale prices there for 10 year old track tractors.
