1991 JD 4255 2WD Sold High Saturday on Nebraska Farm Auction

Dan Wachal had himself one SHARP 1991 JD 4255 2WD tractor…only had 3994 hours on it. Quad Range.

Sold Saturday (February 8, 2020) on his farm retirement auction in Schuyler, Neb., sale was by our good friends at Olson & Pearson Auction & Realty (www.olsonpearson.com). Here’s a picture of Dan’s sweet 4255.

SOLD: $60,500.

That is 4th Highest auction sale price ever on a JD 4255. Here’s a look at the highest auction sale prices I’ve seen over the years on 4255’s.

Interestingly, 2 of the Top 5 Highest auction prices on JD 4255’s were on the same tractor…the very last 4255 ever built, SN# RW4255PO11844. It sold for record high price of $72,000 on a March 26, 2011 auction in Fredricksburg, IA when it had 1850 hours on it. Here’s video of it selling that day almost 9 years ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Fi7xMsxDzU&t=177s

Then just 3 months ago, on a November 10, 2019 farm auction in Lawler, IA, the same 1992 JD 4255 2WD, last one made, now with 3535 hours on it, sold for $60,000. Here’s a picture of it.

Last summer I did actually hear about an MFWD JD 4255 with 2080 hours a dealer in New York, MacFadden & Sons, Inc. (www.macfaddens.com) sold to a buyer in Wisconsin for $84,000. Here’s video feature I did on that $84K 4255: https://www.machinerypete.com/media_posts/1991-john-deere-4255-with-2080-hours-sold-for-84-000
