Only a couple famous 4000’s ahead of it in the list. Still the highest auction price JD 4000 is the ultra rare Gas/Power Shift, 1 of 9 made, sold for $82,500 9 years ago this month on a June 27, 2015 farm auction in Corcoran, MN by Aumann Auctions Inc. Here’s a picture of it…note - the loader did not sell with the tractor.
2nd Highest auction price ever on a JD 4000 was another Polk Auction Co. collector sale I covered 10 years ago this month, June 28, 2014 in Bedford, IA.
