Congrats go out tonight to Lyle and Sherril Wegele of Jansen, Neb. Their online farm retirement auction was today (August 16, 2022), by our friends at Sullivan Auctioneers ([www.sullivanauctioneers.com](http://www.sullivanauctioneers.com)).

Quite a send off.

Particularly the Wegele’s JD 8230 tractor, which sold for a new record high auction sale price.

**2007 JD 8230 with 2393 hours, sold: $176,000**

$176K topped the former record high auction price on an 8230 of $175,000, set just 2 months ago on a 6/23/22 Clear Lake, MN farm auction, another 2007 model, that one with nearly exactly the same hours: 2375.

The Avg. Auction Price on JD 8230 Tractors is now up to $129,929 so far this year…the highest this Avg. Price has been in 9 years.

Couple other eye opening prices on today’s Jansen, Neb. online farm retirement auction:

**2003 International 4400 grain truck with 125,920 miles, sold: $83,000**

**Pete’s Note:** “_I’ve been writing/blogging/speaking a LOT recently about the RISING prices on good used Grain Trucks. Another example here. $83K is tied for the 4th highest auction price ever on an IH 4400_”

**1992 JD 4760 2WD with 5162 hours, $18K in repairs 2015, sold: $55,000**
