March is a very busy auction month. The busiest on the calendar. Always Fun time of year - Machinery Pete’s March Madness 🙂

Just learned of another new record high sale price…looping back to a March 13 online consignment auction by the good folks at Jark/Worlie Auction Service ([www.jarkauction.com](http://www.jarkauction.com)) in South Dakota. The beautiful JD 4555 pictured below sold on this sale.

**1989 JD 4555 with 3411 hours, 2nd owner, PS, sold: $100,000**

Wow - now the 4 Highest auction sale prices ever on JD 4555 Tractors have all come since July '22 - the past 21 mo., including the 1990 model 4555 MFWD with 4500 hours sold last Thursday evening on the Kingsley, IA online collector auction for $94,500. Here’s picture of that one.

Going deeper, 12 of the 14 Highest auction sale prices ever on 4555’s have come the past 26 mo.

You’ve heard the saying “_That Was Then, This is Now_”…20 Years Ago on 9/11/04 auction in Craig, NE a JD 4555 with only 294 hours, in excellent condition, sold for $65,000. That $65K record high auction price on JD 4555 stood for 8 1/2 Years.

That Was Then. This Is Now - $100K last month on South Dakota auction with 3411 hours.
