# John Deere 4440 with 8378 Hours Sold for $41,500 on Michigan Auction Wednesday

Sharp **1978 JD 4440 with 8378 hours sold for $41,500** Wednesday (April 13, 2022) on a farm auction in Custer, MI by my friends at Sykora Auction Service ([www.sykoraauctions.com](http://www.sykoraauctions.com)). Here’s a picture of it.

Yes, $41,500 is a very strong sale price, but values on JD 4440 tractors, made from 1978-1982, have been on the RISE now for 5 years running. Avg. Auction Price on 4440’s is UP 7.6% this year ($25,452) and UP a whopping 47.2% vs 5 years ago in 2017 ($17,281).
