Imagine how many **JD 4255 tractors** I’ve seen sold at auction the past 30 years I’ve been tracking prices.

**LOTS.**

So try this fact on for size…of the only (7) 4255’s ever sold for $60,000 or more at auction, (4) have come in the past 6 months.

Wow.

Most recent example came today (May 22, 2020) on the John and Ginny Kibbe farm auction in far northwest Pennyslvania by Chesley Auctioneers ([www.chesleyauction.com](http://www.chesleyauction.com)). The **JD 4255 MFWD with only 2475 hours, 1 owner, pictured below sold for $60,000.**

$60K is tied for 6th Highest ever auction sale price on a JD 4255.

The new record high auction price of $77,000 on a 4255 was just set on a 3/14/20 auction in southeast Minnesota, a 1992 model 4255 2WD with only 1260 actual hours. Here’s a picture of it.

Now for some amazingly eye opening facts on what like new, hardly any hours on them JD 4255 tractors were selling for at auction back in the early 1990’s. Just incredible.

So 25+ years down the road here we are, 4255’s now selling for WAY MORE $$. Amazing.
