**Super condition smaller, older Combines are kinda HOT items right now.** You may recall the story I brought you of the 1975 JD 4400 with only 480 actual hours that sold for $13,000 (no heads) on a farm auction September 1, 2018 in Grand Island, Neb. Record price. Here’s Youtube video interview I did at the Classic Green Reunion event this June with the young man who bought it, Kyle Pullen: [https://www.machinerypete.com/media\_posts/young-nebraska-man-owns-1975-john-deere-4400-combine-with-only-500-hours](https://www.machinerypete.com/media_posts/young-nebraska-man-owns-1975-john-deere-4400-combine-with-only-500-hours) ![JD4400-KylePullen-%2413K-noheads](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex036/uploads/machinerypete/original/2X/7/7dbd2e7f1bedd2629546fa556cc9cf94bc64f8d6.jpeg) Well, another super sharp older smaller combine rang the bell so to speak Saturday (September 14, 2019) on a farm auction out in central New Jersey by our friends at Leaman Auctions, LLC ([www.leamanauctions.com](http://www.leamanauctions.com)) when the **1982 IHC 1420 with 3520 hours pictured below sold for $10,000…with no heads:** ![IHC1420-NJ-%2410K-noheads](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex036/uploads/machinerypete/original/2X/1/12101faffe071c94bdacf824e4c7d66fa8dbace3.jpeg) $10,000 is the highest auction sale price I’ve seen on an IHC 1420 combine sold without heads in 7+ years…since January 2012. Here’s a look at a list of the highest auction prices the past 20 years on IHC 1420 Combines sold with no heads. **HIGHEST AUCTION PRICES ON IHC 1420 COMBINES PAST 20 YEARS - NO HEADS** ![1420-HIghestwithoutHeads](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex036/uploads/machinerypete/original/2X/a/ac6cc79473f2c025b5de1275da5596112b660317.jpeg) - Data by [www.MachineryPete.com](http://www.MachineryPete.com) Now I have seen a couple IHC 1420’s sold with heads for higher auction prices, led by this one, a 1980 model 1420 with 2648 hours that sold for $22,000 with a 1020 15’ head and an IHC 843 4-row corn head on a 3/23/13 farm auction in Winthrop, Ontario. ![IHC1420-2heads-ON-%2422K-fair](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex036/uploads/machinerypete/original/2X/0/0b616d8999519b9bab3d338d2e8d1d4e7081ba77.jpeg) **Link to (3) IHC 1420’s for sale today:** [https://www.machinerypete.com/harvesting/combines/international-harvester/1420](https://www.machinerypete.com/harvesting/combines/international-harvester/1420) This central New Jersey farm auction Saturday was really a nice sale.
