As I’ve said countless times before…it ain’t all shiny.

And that is what makes it fun, finding and reporting on what all kinds and condition of farm equipment sells for. Last Thursday (June 25, 2020) on a farm auction in Vermont, the Allis Chalmers 6080 open station front-wheel drive tractor pictured below sold. It had a completely rebuilt engine.

**SOLD: $7,750.**

Here’s a look at how that stacks up against recent auction sale prices on other Allis Chalmers 6080’s.

The highest auction sale price I’ve seen on an Allis Chalmers 6080 the past 20 1/2 years is $26,000, achieved twice, most recently on a 9/22/18 farm auction in Castalia, IA by our good friends at Sweeney Auction Service. It was a 1982 model 2WD with only 800 hours and a cab. Here’s a picture of it.

Here is a picture of the other Allis Chalmers 6080 that hit $26,000 at auction…a 1984 model FWD with 1728 hours sold on a 5/11/13 farm auction in Albion, IL.
