**1 of 25 Built.**

The 1972 JD 4000 diesel, low profile, power shift tractor pictured below sold today, June 8, 2024, on the Weers Collection auction in Diller, NE by Polk Auction Co.

**SOLD: $60,000**

$60K if the 4th Highest auction sale price I’ve ever seen on a JD 4000.

**HIGHEST AUCTION PRICES EVER ON JD 4000 TRACTOR**

Only a couple famous 4000’s ahead of it in the list. Still the highest auction price JD 4000 is the ultra rare Gas/Power Shift, 1 of 9 made, sold for $82,500 9 years ago this month on a June 27, 2015 farm auction in Corcoran, MN by Aumann Auctions Inc. Here’s a picture of it…note - the loader did not sell with the tractor.

2nd Highest auction price ever on a JD 4000 was another Polk Auction Co. collector sale I covered 10 years ago this month, June 28, 2014 in Bedford, IA. On that sale another 1972 JD 4000 Diesel/Power Shift/Low Profile sold for $71,000. Here’s Machinery Pete YouTube video I filmed at that sale of the 4000 selling, along with another rare 4000:
